NAPA and ASE name 2014 technician and parts specialist of the year
Atlanta, Ga.—During the recent NAPA "National Fall Manager Meeting," in Atlanta, NAPA Auto Parts and the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) named the 2014 NAPA/ASE Technician and Parts Specialist of the Year.
Joe Sevart, owner of I-70 Auto Service, a NAPA AutoCare Center in Kansas City, Mo., was named the 2014 NAPA/ASE Technician of the Year.
This award is given to professionals that exemplify excellence and achievement in the industry. Sevart, a second-generation shop owner, is also the president of his local NAPA Business Development Group. Sevart's business is also recognized as an ASE Blue Seal of Excellence Facility and a AAA Approved Auto Repair location.

Sevart, who also serves as president of his local Napa Business Development Group, has been a NAPA AutoCare Center since 1996.
NAPA Center Achieves 5-Star Score
I-70 Auto Service has achieved a 5-star rating under the Green Garage Challenge program. I-70, through NAPA's new GreenCareSM Certification program, has committed to fight climate change that will enhance the company's value and help preserve the environment for future generations.
I-70 Auto Service is pleased to join the fight against climate change," said Joe Sevart, owner. "Through the official EPA climate rating program, we can demonstrate our commitment to the environment and measure our efforts to reduce the risks of global warming."
Sevart noted that over the past year, "we have saved more than 4,000 pounds of Greenhouse Gas emissions by reducing our energy usage and material consumption while increasing our service efficiency by more than thirty percent per hour."
The new NAPA AutoCare GreenCareSM program allows us to offer industry leading solutions and green sustainability support to our AutoCare centers in one package. In turn, our members can feel secure that they have credible evidence of an environmentally sound operation to help their business be more profitable," said Bret Robyck, Vice President NAPA AutoCare. "We're making it easier for NAPA AutoCare Centers to become Green Certified and promote their Green initiatives in the market place.
